From the garden to your container

  1. Harvest and intake

The farmer peels and delivers the bark to the nagari collection point, where it is weighed and given a receipt. The farmer code and the lot code are attached from that moment on.

  2. Sun drying

Four days on raised racks until moisture is at or below 13 percent. Measured twice a day with a calibrated meter, never by hand feel.

  3. Sorting and grading

Hand sorted at our Padang facility into KA-A, KB-B and KM-C, then cut to 8 cm or 10 cm according to your order.

  4. Cleaning and metal detection

De-stoner, air separator and metal detector in line. Foreign matter target is below 0.5 percent by weight.

  5. Laboratory sampling

One composite sample per lot goes to an independent ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory in Jakarta. We do not test our own residues.

  6. Treatment on your instruction

Steam sterilisation or phosphine fumigation, your choice. We do not use ethylene oxide on any product, on any lot, ever.

  7. Packing and stuffing

Kraft liner, desiccant bags and a photo record of every container from empty to sealed, sent to you the same day.

  8. Documents and sailing

Phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, certificate of analysis, and for EU organic lots the certificate of inspection issued in TRACES NT.

Questions buyers ask before the first order

What is your minimum order?
One 20ft container per commodity, which is 14 MT for cassia sticks and 18 MT for coconut sugar. For a first order we accept 3 MT LCL, and vanilla starts at 25 kg by air freight.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Up to three commodities, 500 g each, at no charge. Courier is USD 45 flat worldwide and we credit it against your first order, so the sample costs you nothing once you buy.
Which Incoterms do you quote?
FOB Teluk Bayur is our default basis. We also quote FCA, CFR, CIF and EXW warehouse Padang. Tell us the basis your customs filing uses and we quote it that way.
Who does the testing, and what is in the report?
An independent ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory in Jakarta, not us. The report covers moisture, volatile oil, total ash, foreign matter, aflatoxin, a 512 compound pesticide residue screen, and microbiology.
Cassia contains coumarin. What is your level?
Between 1,900 and 2,600 mg per kg across our 2026 lots, measured by HPLC and printed on every lot report. Tell us your ceiling and we only offer you lots that sit under it.
Do you treat the product with ethylene oxide?
No, never, on any product. We offer steam sterilisation or phosphine fumigation, and the treatment actually used is named on the certificate that travels with your shipment.
How far back can you trace a lot?
To the farmer group and the harvest month. The lot code printed on your bag matches the intake receipt signed at the nagari collection point, and we keep those receipts for five years.
How long from order to loading?
Eighteen to twenty-five days from a signed proforma invoice and deposit received, during harvest season. Outside season we tell you the next available harvest month before you commit to anything.
